Hammer Time 2.0 – IPA – Collaboration with Hoppebräu
Friendship. For us, this means to have a hammer time together. Or, to quote MC Hammer, U can’t touch this! This is what our friendship is like with our mates from Hoppebräu, from sleepy Waakirchen in Bavaria. Markus brewed his first few batches in Schwoich. We’ve had some great times together, which always involve lots of fun, little sleep and gallons of beer. And afterwards, we usually say: we’ve had a right hammer time! Our first Collab was in 2015 with a session pale ale, followed by a sour pale ale in 2017. It was about time for the next one, not quite as session sour. But the result is just as drinkable.
As is customary for a decent IPA, there’s a full load of hops in the nose, in particular in the form of apricots, grapefruit and pine. In the taste the fruit continues, in combination with herbal tones, straight, rather dry and with a pleasant but distinct bitterness. And our 2020 version? Exactly the same. But even more „süffig“!
In brief:
